A Wonderland of Joy: Our Magical Prom at Hammond Hall!
What an enchanting afternoon we had this past Saturday, as our children and young people gathered at Hammond Hall in Bassingham for our annual Prom! This year, we tumbled down the rabbit hole into a truly magical “Alice in Wonderland” theme, and it was filled with wonder, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
From the moment guests arrived, they were transported to a whimsical world. The hall was transformed with vibrant decorations, bringing to life the Mad Hatter’s tea party, the Queen of Hearts’ garden, and all the beloved characters from Wonderland. Our young people, dressed in their finest, looked absolutely splendid, embodying the spirit of curiosity and joy.
The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly seeing our children and young people, shine so brightly. Every detail was thoughtfully planned to ensure an inclusive and sensory-friendly environment, allowing everyone to fully participate and enjoy the festivities. Whether they were dancing to the music, posing for photos, or simply enjoying the vibrant atmosphere, their smiles lit up the room.
A truly special aspect of the afternoon was having our children and young people’s families join us. It was a heart-warming sight to see parents, siblings, and carers sharing in the celebration, dancing together, and creating cherished moments that will last a lifetime. This sense of community and shared happiness is at the very core of what we do at Witham Prospect School.
From curious characters to beaming faces, the Alice in Wonderland Prom was a resounding success. It was an event that celebrated growth, friendship, and the pure magic of childhood, reminding us all that sometimes, the best adventures begin with simply believing in impossible things.
