We Had a Blast! A Day of Inflatable Fun

This summer, our children and young people have been blossoming in our new gardening club! Our occupational therapist has been running these informal drop-in sessions, offering a wonderful space for growth, learning, and fun.

What a fantastic day we had! Today, our school grounds were transformed into a giant inflatable playground for a day of pure fun and excitement. It was wonderful to see all our children and young people bouncing, sliding, and laughing their way through a brilliant day.

The event was organised by our wonderful staff. This was so much more than just a fun day; it was a fantastic opportunity for our children and young people to develop and practice a wide range of skills. Navigating the inflatables, choosing their food, and interacting with their peers and staff provided a real-world context for them to use their communication skills.

The fun didn’t stop there! Our wonderful cook served up a delicious feast to keep everyone energised. Everyone enjoyed classic summer treats, including mouth-watering hot dogs and juicy burgers.

This event was a great opportunity for our young people to have fun with their friends and staff in a lively, relaxed atmosphere. The sound of laughter and the sight of so many happy faces made all the planning worthwhile. The event was also beneficial for our staff. It provided a chance to build stronger relationships with the children and young people outside of the classroom setting, reinforcing the supportive and caring environment we pride ourselves on.

A big thank you to everyone who made this day so special. We’re already looking forward to our next big event!
