Walking the Extra Mile! Witham Prospect School Rises to the Children in Need Challenge

On Friday, November 14th, 2025, we are proudly supporting BBC Children in Need! This year, the theme is all about pushing limits and achieving amazing things with the ‘Challenge Yourself to 25’ initiative.

At Witham Prospect School, we believe in the power of effort and celebrating personal achievement. That’s why we’ve set an exciting physical goal for our children and young people across the whole week:

The Witham Prospect Challenge: 25 Laps in 5 Days!

Our children and young people are taking on the fantastic challenge of walking around the school field 25 times in a single week!

This challenge is a brilliant way to promote Physical Development, Independence, and Determination—all while raising funds for a great cause. Every time a child and young person completes a lap, they get to mark their achievement on their personal Progress Tracker using a stamp, building excitement and showing off their progress.

Challenge Accomplished!

By Friday, every participant who completes their 25 laps will receive a special Children in Need ‘Challenge Accomplished!’ certificate . It’s a wonderful way to recognise their hard work and dedication.

How You Can Support the Challenge!

To support our young people and the vital work Children in Need does across the UK, we are asking for your help with a fun donation challenge that matches our theme!

We have set up money donation pots in each class where donations can be made using multiples of 25:

Donation ChallengeTotal Donation
25 x 1p coins25p
25 x 2p coins50p
25 x 5p coins£1.25
25 x 10p coins£2.50

Please support our young people this week as they challenge themselves and raise money for the amazing things Children in Need will use the donations for. Your contributions truly make a difference to the lives of disadvantaged children across the country.

Good luck to all our amazing walkers! We know you can do it!
