Celebrating Excellence: Two Witham Prospect Stars Shortlisted for the National CYP Awards!
We are bursting with pride to announce that two of our incredible team members have been named as finalists in the prestigious Stars of the Children and Young People (CYP) Awards!
These awards celebrate the very best in the sector, highlighting those who have made a profound impact on the lives of children and young people. Being shortlisted is a huge achievement; it means that someone took the time to share how much they value the dedication, compassion, and skill our team brings to Witham Prospect School every single day.
Meet Our Finalists

Joanne Stevens – The Inspirational Children’s Home Manager Award (North) 🏆
As our Registered Manager, Jo is the driving force behind the safe, supportive, and person-centred environment we provide in our residential homes. She is recognised for her outstanding leadership and her unwavering passion for improving outcomes for our young people. Jo’s commitment to nurturing her team while ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance makes her a truly inspirational leader. We are thrilled to see her excellence in care recognised on such a large scale.
Lauren Brooks – The Superstar Support Worker Award (Midlands) 🏆
Lauren has been a vital part of the Witham Prospect School family for over three years. Level 3 qualified and drawing from her specialised background in deaf education, Lauren is an expert in non-verbal communication. Lauren truly embodies the spirit of a “superstar” support worker.

Valuing Our Team
At Witham Prospect School, our mission is to provide a “home away from home” that fosters independence and joy. We know that we can only achieve this because of people like Jo and Lauren. Their nominations reflect the core values of our school: Mutual Respect, Excellence in Care, and a deep-seated belief in the potential of every young person we support.
The CYP Awards organisers noted that the nominations they receive represent the pinnacle of the sector. Knowing that our staff have made such a positive impression that they were selected as finalists from a national pool of candidates is a testament to the high-quality, heart-led work happening here in Lincolnshire.
Good Luck, Jo and Lauren!
We are so lucky to have you both on our team. Your hard work, expertise, and kindness don’t just win awards—they change lives. We will be cheering you on at the finals! ✨
